Deaths and Wonders
Muertes y maravillas
It's summer, school's out and what should be the beginning of a time for fun and enjoyment for a group of friends seems to be the beginning of some sort of twilight. One of them has a serious disease.
Curator's Note
The feeling of hanging out with friends - spending the day doing nothing but enjoying the company of each other. There's no transcendence except in quiet moments of reflection, attempts at poetry, joints and drinks. The film tells the story of the end of a group, and the birth, however awkward, of an individual. The first step we take on our own is very frightening, but necessary. After all, how else can you become yourself? - Jhon Hernandez
